South Willingham and Hainton railway station was a station in South Willingham, Lincolnshire.[1]

History

The Great Northern Railway planned and built a branch line from Bardney to Louth in stages, the middle stage between Wragby and Donington on Bain on 27 September 1875.[2]

The Louth and Lincoln Railway, which connected Louth with Bardney was authorised on 6 August 1866 and opened on 1 December 1876. It was absorbed by the Great Northern Railway in 1882.[3] One of the stations opened with the line was South Willingham; one month later, on 1 January 1877 it was renamed South Willingham and Hainton.[4]

Passenger services ended on 5 November 1951,[4] goods traffic on 1 December 1958.
