South Horizons (Chinese: 海怡半島) is an under-construction underground MTR rapid transit station in Hong Kong on the eastern section of the South Island Line, located on Ap Lei Chau in Southern District. The station is being built under Yi Nam Street and South Horizons Drive, and will primarily serve residents of the South Horizons private housing estate (its namesake), in addition to Ap Lei Chau Estate and Ap Lei Chau Industrial Estate. The station has a unique shape in the form of a letter Y, and has no overrun track. It will be the southern terminus of the South Island Line, and is scheduled to open on 18 December 2016^[1] with the rest of the South Island Line.

This underground station will have two tracks and an island platform.^[2] The station's single concourse will be located at the west of the station (near the bumper blocks), with all three exits extending from this concourse.^[2]

South Horizons will have two artworks in the station. Along the glass walls of exits A and B, the work Tree Shadow in the Gridline, by Cheung Wai-lok, will feature shadows of trees in order to transition the exit passageways between indoors and outdoors.^[2][3] Meanwhile, on platform level, the mosaic Soaring Horizon, created by children overseen by Karen Pow Cheuk-mei, will feature the surrounding landscape on the horizon, including the sea.^[2][3]

Entrances/exits

South Horizons Station will have three exits serving the residential buildings of South Horizons. There will be two lifts for exit C.

• Exit A: Ap Lei Chau Estate (using an 80-metre-long (260 ft) footbridge), South Horizons I, Marina Square East Centre^[2]
• Exit B: South Horizon Drive, South Horizons II/III, Marina Square West Wing^[2]
• Exit C: South Horizons Yu Garden, Yi Nam Road, public transport interchange ^[2]
