Songs Of Blood And Sword is a book of memories of Fatima Bhutto that she wrote. When her father Murtaza Bhutto was assassinated by the Pakistani police in Karachi in 1996, she was a teenager of 14 years old. The story covers the events, she saw through her eyes in her young lifetime. The content of the book is the plain and simple impression of the cruel, unjust and corrupt Pakistani power politics, which caused the brutal death of the members of the Bhutto.[1] [2]

Quote

“I wrote Songs of Blood and Sword as a love letter to my beloved, beloved father. I know he is here with us tonight too. There may not be justice in politics and justice may be muffled in the courts of Pakistan, but we seek it still. One day, it will be ours. That is my message to my father, to all our fathers. Don’t worry Papa, nothing happens to the brave. History is built on the strides and sacrifices of the brave.” Fatima Bhutto[3]
