Sitai (community development block) is an administrative division in Dinhata subdivision of Cooch Behar district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Sitai police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is at Sitai.[1][2]

Sitai community development block has an area of 151.25  km2.[2]

Gram panchayats

Gram panchayats of Sitai block/ panchayat samiti are: Adabari Ghat, Brahmattar Chhatra, Chamta, Sitai I and Sitai II.[3]

Demographics

As per 2011 Census of India Sitai CD Block had a total population of 110,333, all of which were rural. There were 56,016 males and 54,317 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 72,924 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 215.[4]

Literacy

As per 2011 census the total number of literates in Sitai CD Block was 59,595 out of which 33,323 were males and 26,272 were females.[4]
