Simon Dyson (businessman)

Simon M Dyson MBE, FCAA (born 1950 Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire) is an English businessman.

Simon is the current Chairman of the Anthony Nolan board of directors who act as Trustees of the charity. They deal with how the charity is governed. Their main aim is to ensure that they achieve their goals and objectives as an organisation

In 1986, he oversaw a huge surge in the register – 100,000 new volunteers in just six weeks. Working as the Round Table National Community Service Liaison Convener he coordinated the recruitment by the Round Table organisation. He has been a Director since 1987 and Chairman since 1988. He was National President of Round Table in 1990/91.

Now retired, he was formerly the Group Finance Director of Associated Newspapers Ltd, publishers of the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, the Evening Standard, Metro, Teletext and numerous online businesses. He was awarded an MBE in 2003,in recognition of his services to charity.

He is a very keen sports supporter, and has chaired the benefit committees of several England cricketers and rugby players. He has also served on the general committee of Middlesex County Cricket Club and is also an enthusiastic golfer. He is married with four children and two stepchildren.
