Secular Talk, also known as The Kyle Kulinski Show, is an American liberal commentary and news talk show that currently airs on radio and online. The show is hosted by radio commentator and political pundit Kyle Kulinski.[1]

The show was launched in 2008 as an independent news source, but was added to The Young Turks Network[2][3] in 2014.

As of April 2016, it is the 5th highest viewed U.S. news and politics channel on YouTube, ranking just behind the official White House channel.[4]

Format and content

With its first video uploaded on May 21, 2008 to YouTube, Secular Talk features Kyle in a studio talking about current political events and often criticizing the establishments of the Democratic and Republican Party. He also often includes a video from a recent news broadcast or internet video before giving his take on it.[5]

Host

Kyle Kulinski

Kyle Kulinski was born on January 31, 1988, in Westchester County, New York, to parents of mainly Italian and Polish descent.[6] He was brought up Catholic, and was familiar with Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD). In high school, he became interested in both politics and religion.

In terms of political leanings, Kyle identifies himself as a post-World War II social democrat, believing in a "mix" of regulated capitalism and socialism in the political sense. He praises the Nordic economic model. He is a libertarian on social issues. Philosophically, he identifies as a secular humanist. Despite his Catholic upbringing, Kyle is also an outspoken atheist and anti-theist: he has done many segments on his show heavily criticizing the imposing of religious dogmas unto the citizens of the United States and elsewhere around the world where this might be tried, labeling these actions as unconstitutional and morally wrong.
