It was designed by Andreyan Zakharov. St. Andrew's Cathedral was destroyed under the Soviet regime in 1932. It was well known to Russian Orthodox believers because Saint John of Kronstadt, one of the greatest saints of Russian Orthodox Church, was working in it as a priest for a long time.[1]
