Saif Salman Hashim Al-Mohammadawi (Arabic: سيف سلمان هاشم المحمداوي, born July 1, 1993[1]), is an Iraqi footballer who plays as a Central midfielder for Al-Shorta.

International career

On December 3, 2012 Saif made his full international debut against Bahrain in a friendly match, which ended 0-0.[2]

During the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship, Saif made the headlines by leaving the team camp, stating that he wanted to be with his sick daughter. However, it turned out to be false as he left the team because he did not make the starting 11.

As a consequence, the IFA banned him for life representing the national teams of Iraq.
