It began with the famous raffle that, year after year, riding on the town square during the festival of San Augustine. With the money and through a general meeting for the purpose, by a stock of 10,000 pesetas were acquired lands that were subsequently sold. With this amount is bought others for their gap needed filling.

After many difficulties, Ategorri [1] opened its doors on October 13, 1967. If for some quality stands Ategorri field is for its excellent drainage, which enables even more in times of heavy rains, the field present a more than acceptable state for football practice. Through the contribution by a group of directors of the entity erandiotarra, acquired a trough in the ground where this current Ategorri. To fill the trough, the Erandio had to pay an amount of money for each truck unloading stone, slate type that was used for the filling. It can be said that this amount was a wise investment for the future, since the board makes when it rains, the pitch absorb water in an exceptional way. If this is a subject that makes the club albiazul take pride in their feud, another no less important, the Erandio was one of five teams of Biscay owner of their fields, with Athletic Club, Baskonia, Abanto and Galea.

For the cost of the field had created a popular bilbainada:
