2013 NFL Draft

Swope was drafted in the 6th round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals.

Retirement

On July 25, 2013, the Cardinals announced that Swope was placed on the reserve/retired list due to the ongoing concussion issues.[5] Even though he is retired, he is on the Reserve/Retired List and the Cardinals have rights to him if he comes out of retirement. They will lose his draft rights when his rookie contracts eventually ends.
