Rikuzen-Ochiai Station (陸前落合駅 Rikuzen-Ochiai-eki) is a railway station in Aoba-ku, Sendai in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East).

Rikuzen-Ochiai Station is served by the Senzan Line, and is located 12.7 rail kilometers from the terminus of the line at Sendai Station.

History

Rikuzen-Ochiai Station opened on September 29, 1929. The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of JNR on 1 April 1987. A new station building was completed in March 2005.

Surrounding area

The station has two entry/exit points. The north leads to a housing complex and further residential areas. The southern exit comes across Japan National Route 457, which runs from Sendai to Yamagata.
