Rajotto is an Dhallywood crime action thriller film directed by Iftakar Chowdhury and produced by Fatman Films.The film stars Shakib Khan and Bobby in lead roles.^[1][2] The music of the film composed by Adit Ozbert. Rajotto is about a deadly journey of a gangster.^[3] The film released on 7 March 2014. Upon release, the film received positive reviews. Rajotto was of the highest grossing Dhallywood film of 2014.

Plot

In Dhaka, two rival mafia gangs headed by Dubai-based don Ali Bhai, and Mitro resort to criminal activities such as extortion, murder, and coercion for various reasons. The new commissioner of police, Sayyad Mohammad Pasha Qadri, focuses on making the city a better place by working at arresting all of them. Samrat, a remorseless gangster living in Dhaka along with his friends, is hired by Mitro and attacks Ali Bhai's henchmen. He later joins Ali Bhai's gang for monetary reasons. He falls in love with Rihhana, an aerobics teacher, who rejects his advances.

Rihhana lives with her widowed mother and brother and her neighbour Iqbal, a software engineer, who pesters her to marry him. A corrupt police officer named Rehaan, who works for Ali Bhai, also falls in love with Rihhana. He is determined to make her his mistress, undeterred by Rihhana's multiple rejections. After Samrat kills a henchman of Mitro, he is confronted by Rehaan and is able to prevent Rihhana from being molested. She meets him the next day to thank him, and Samrat introduces himself as a self-employed person who undertakes any activity for money. They develop unspoken romantic feelings for each other angering Rehaan.

Rihhana's employer, Mohammad, suggests that she marry the man she loves. To repel Rehaan's advances, she meets Samrat and proposes to him. After an attack by Mitro's henchmen, who are murdered by Samrat, he reveals that he is a gangster and suggests that she might want to rethink her proposal. After Rihhana distances herself from Samrat, Rehaan frames her with a mock sexual assault by a few gangsters unbeknownst to her family and the other villagers. He intends this act to ruin her life and subsequently force her to be his mistress. Learning this, Samrat confronts Rehaan and warns him that he will face dire consequences if he is found guilty of being involved.

Ali Bhai visits Dhaka and assassinates Mitro. He meets Samrat to discuss the murder of a minister by blowing up a balloon. Samrat rejects this as it would involve killing innocents. At the same time as they are arguing, Qadri arrests Ali Bhai and tortures him. Ali Bhai's henchmen retaliate by filming Qadri's daughter as she is enticed into sexual activity by the minister's son, and release it to the media. They also kidnap her, forcing the police to release Ali Bhai. At the same time, Samrat manages to catch the gangsters who pretended to rape Rihhana and she reconciles with him.

Qadri's daughter is sedated and reveals that an undercover police officer, whose father's name is Mohammad, had infiltrated the gang for some time. Ali Bhai kills Mohammad's son Arefin, assuming he is the informant. However, Mohammad reveals that Arefin was his adopted son, and that Samrat is actually Sardaar Qadri (B. P. S.), his biological son, who had infiltrated his gang at Qadri's direction. Mohammad is killed and Sardaar forces Rehaan to kill Ali Bhai before he initiates his plan to set off bombs across Dhaka.

Sardaar kills Ali Bhai's henchmen one by one at a rural village. Ali Bhai offers Rehaan a hefty sum to kill Sardaar but his attempt fails. In a final confrontation, Sardaar kills Ali Bhai by slitting his throat. Qadri's daughter is saved and when Rehaan tries to backstab Sardaar, he is shot dead by the latter who then saysOnce I commit myself, I'll never back off.

Music

The soundtrack of Rajotto composed by Ozbert with the lyrics penned by Shohel Arman & Jibon. The soundtrack features 5 tracks overall. The song "Moner Majhe" was released as a promotional single on 12 November 2013.^[4] the video of the song "Tomake Valobashi" was released on 2 March 2014.

Marketing

The first look of Rajotto was revealed on November 12, 2013. A One Minute five second promo teaser was released on 13 January 2014.

Remakes

The original Telugu film Pokiri, directed by Puri Jagannadh, was remade in several other languages and still found success in the respective regional cinemas. Pokkiri is the first remake. The second one was Wanted, the Hindi version in 2009 which was also directed by Prabhu Deva, Like the two other versions, Wanted had Salman Khan and Ayesha Takia in the lead and has also Prakash Raj as the villain.^[5] After that, a Kannada version, Porkhi, directed by M.D. Sridhar, was released on 14 January 2010.^[6] Below is an actor map of the lead actors in the story of Pokiri and its remakes.
