Professional Rapper is the debut studio album by American rapper Lil Dicky. It was self-released on July 31, 2015.[6]

Background

On May 22, 2013, Lil Dicky self-released his debut mixtape, titled So Hard. Lil Dicky later used Kickstarter, with the goal of raising $70,000, to released his debut album with accompanying music videos and tours. On November 20, 2013, the projected month-long crowdfunding period reached the fundraising goal within a week. The fundraising was dramatically successful, raising a total of $113,017.[7]

Commercial performance

The album debuted at number 7 on the US Billboard 200, selling 26,000 equivalent album units, with the sales of 22,000 copies.[8] The album debuted at number one consecutively on Top Comedy Albums, Top Rap Albums and Top Independent Albums charts.
