Pradeep Kumar Sinha (P. K. Sinha) (born July 18, 1955) is an Indian civil servant who is the 31st Cabinet Secretary of the Republic of India.[1][2] He is an Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS officer of 1977 batch. He is the Ex Power secretary of India and before that he served as Secretary in Ministry of Shipping and is an Economics graduate from St. Stephens College, Delhi University and holds a master's degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. He holds a Mphil degree as well . [3]

The Union Government had constituted a selection committee headed by cabinet secretary P.K. Sinha for shortlisting candidates for RBI governorship, after Raghuram Rajan’s term comes to an end in September 2016. Thereafter, Dr Urjit Patel was appointed as Governer of RBI, with effect from 06 September 2016.
