Power Brands is a beverage consulting firm based in Van Nuys, California. It focuses on creative direction, design, formulation, prototyping, supplier identification, and production consulting for beverage brands.[1] It operates in the United States, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Australia, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, France, Italy, and the Middle East.[2][3]

The company was founded in 2006 and since then has developed over 500 brands,[4] including several global, multimillion-dollar beverage brands.[5][6]

Beverages

Power Brands has collaborated on the development of numerous beverage brands including Evolution Fresh, Neuro Drinks, Street King Energy Shots, Go Girl Energy Drink, Just Chill, Ingo Cucumber Water, Kole, Kid-Fit Beverages, Barrel Juice, HydroOne: Bode, VitaminFIZZ, Umix, Studyaid, and GRC Beverages.[4] They have also developed beverage labels in association with other companies, such as a recent 2013 partnership with a Minerco Resources company, Level 5 Beverage Company, to create RISE.[7][8] Power Brands also collaborates with celebrities to promote and develop "celebrity beverages".[9]

Management

Power Brands was co-founded by joint chief executive officers Darin Ezra and Martin Molina in 2006. Both Ezra and Molina had worked in the industry prior to Power Brand's foundation. Ezra had worked in the consumer packaged goods industry for 15 years; Molina, prior to joining Power Brands, had a history of 20 years in the beverage industry working with industry giants such as Nestle and Pepsi.[10]

Darin Ezra has been involved in the development of many of Power Brands' clients, and worked as the consultant specialist with Neuro Brands between 2008 and 2010 to develop the Neuro drink line.

Awards

Various beverages developed by Power Brands have received industry recognition. In 2007, early in the history of the company, Power Brands created Drank, one of the first relaxation drinks in the US market.[11][12] Beverages developed by Power Brands have won numerous BevNET industry awards: these include the Best Functional Beverage Award for Code Blue in 2009,[13] Best Functional Drink Award for Neuro[14] and Best New Shot and Best Relaxation Drink for RelaxZen,[15] Product of the Year Award for Evolution[16] and Best Relaxation Drink of the Year for Just Chill in 2012.[17] Power Brands also won the Consumer Survey of Product Innovation 2013 Product of the Year Award for SK Energy.[18]
