Pontiac Academy for Excellence

Pontiac Academy for Excellence (PAE) is a K-12 public charter school located in Pontiac, Michigan. Pontiac Academy for Excellence was established in 2000. The school is located at 196 Cesar E. Chavez Ave., Pontiac, Michigan 48343.[1]

Pontiac Academy for Excellence (PAE) opened its doors in the fall of 2000 as a K-5 charter school in northwest Pontiac, MI with 241 students. P.A.E. has now grown to our goal of becoming a K-12 school and serve over 1100 students from the Pontiac and greater Oakland County area.

P.A.E. offers a variety of support services from reading and math specialists, specialists, Spanish language and special needs education, as well as a variety of extra-curricular activities including art, music, dance, and sports. P.A.E. offers a full day kindergarten program along with after-school assistance programs and summer school. Technology is integrated throughout the building, including three computer labs and a portable laptop lab.

P.A.E. also has a diversified student and staff population consisting of African American, Hispanic, Caucasian, Native American and Asian students. Many students are non-English or limited English speaking. P.A.E. offers support for English Language Learners though a coordinated program.
