Panakkara Pillai

Panakkara Pillai (English: The Rich Boy) is a Tamil language film released in 1968.It starred Jayalalitha in the lead role opposite Ravichandran. The supporting cast included Nagesh, S.N.Lakshmi, M.N.Nambiar. The story was written by J. Mahendran. The film has Ravichandran in a double role. It was a successful film on its release.The song Maanikka Magudam, in particular was very popular from this film. The songs for Jayalalitha were sung by P. Susheela and for Ravichandran, songs were sung by T.M.Sounderrajan. The music was composed by Veda.^[1]
