Om Prakash Rao is an Indian film director, screenwriter, film producer and film actor who primarily works in Kannada film industry. He has, till date, directed about 25 films in Kannada language.[2] His films are known for the racy screenplays with extensive action sequences backed with subtle romance. He is the son of late actor N. S. Rao who was a comedian in Kannada films.[3]

Career

Rao's successful films such as AK-47 (1999) and Lockup Death have been huge blockbusters in Kannada cinema.

He is married to Denissaa. The filmmaker, was involved in a controversy when he was exposed by a TV channel and Om Prakash, without any hesitation, came forward and accepted his mistake on television.

He is accused of collaging many non-Kannada movie to direct one kannda movie.
