Odyssey Airlines is a UK based startup airline which is set to launch operations from London City Airport in 2017. The airline incorporated in September 2010 and is headquartered at a business property at Borough High Street in London.[1] Its registered director is Adam Scott, born 1979, who is also listed as a director for Calypso Aviation, formed in February 2012 at the same business address of Odyssey Airlines with the purpose to rent air transport equipment.

History

The airline was first revealed in an article by Reuters in December 2011, citing it as being one of the undisclosed customers of the Bombardier CSeries aircraft.[2]

During the 2013 Paris Air Show, Bombardier and Odyssey officially revealed the identity of the airline to the public, with a planned launch date in 2016.[3]

In April 2014, it started to raise $5 million through crowdfunding.[4]

During early 2016, the airline pushed its launch date into 2017.[5]

Destinations

The airline will be based at the London City Airport and will serve mainly medium and long haul destinations,[6] such as New York City and Toronto, the latter possibly in cooperation with Porter Airlines.[7]

A detailed plan of future destination has not been revealed.[6]

Service

Odyssey Airlines plans to operate as a premium carrier, offering an all-business class service onboard its aircraft.[10]
