The North Texas Crunch were a professional indoor football team based out of North Richland Hills, Texas. They played an independent schedule in their final season. They played their home games at NYTEX Sports Centre In North Richland Hills, TX. They won the APFL championship in 2013 in their first season with that league. They were the second indoor team to play in Fort Worth following the Fort Worth Cavalry of the Arena Football League, who played their only season in 1994.

History

The North Texas Crunch is entering their seventh season (2015) as a professional football club and first season in the new North American Indoor Football League. The Crunch completed their sixth season (2014) their second season in the American Professional Football League (APFL) finishing with a record of 9-3 and second in the league. The Crunch completed their fifth season (2013) of play in the APFL finishing with a record of 8-2 and winning their 4th championship in five years of play. The Crunch didn’t play in 2012 due to the collapse of their former league the Independent Indoor Football Alliance in 2012. The Crunch completed their fourth season (2011) of play in the IIFA finishing with a record of 7-4 losing the playoff against the East Texas Wranglers 21-20.Their third season (2010) in the IIFA finishing with a record of 12-2 and winning their 3rd straight Alliance Bowl title defeating the Southlake Pirates 10-8 at Stampede Sports Arena in Southlake Texas on June 26, 2010. Their second season (2009) in the IIFA the Crunch finished with a record of 6 wins, 2 defeats and winning the IIFA 2009 championship defeating the Texas Wranglers 52-12 at Blue Sky Sports Center in The Colony Texas on July 11, 2009. The first season (2008) for the Crunch in the IIFA in 2008 they finished with a record of 8 wins, 3 defeats and won the 2008 IIFA championship by defeating the Galveston Thunderstorm 52-50 at the Galveston Convention Center in Galveston Texas on July 26, 2008.
