Niog LRT Station is a proposed station on the Manila LRT (Line 1). The station will be located in the intersection of Aguinaldo Highway and Niog Street in Niog I, Bacoor in Cavite. It is part of the LRT Line 1 South Extension Project, being the final station on the planned extension.
The LRT-1 plan calls for an almost entirely elevated extension of approximately 11.7 km. The extension will have 8 passenger stations, with an option for 2 future stations (Manuyo Uno and Talaba), all intended to be constructed above-ground.[1]
A second extension has been proposed, known as the LRT Line 6, which would link the station to the city of Dasmariñas further along Aguinaldo Highway creating six more stations. When built, the station will also serve as the new line's northern terminus.
Nearby landmarks
When completed, the station will be close to Conrado Commercial Complex, PLDT Bacoor, Five Star Standard College, Casa de San Miguel Montessori School, Gov. P.F. Espiritu Elementary School and Jollibee Niog. A short jeepney ride would take passengers from this station to SM City Bacoor further along Aguinaldo Highway.
