Muradnagar (Hindi: मुरादनगर, Urdu: مراد نگر) is a city and a municipal board in Ghaziabad district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Geography
Muradnagar is located at 28°47′N 77°30′E / 28.78°N 77.5°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 215 metres (705 ft).
Demographics
As of the 2006 India census,[2] Muradnagar had a population of 100,080. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Muradnagar has an average literacy rate of 70%, greater than the national average of 60.5%: male literacy is 71%, and female literacy is 55%.
