Mpress

Mpress was a girl group that consisted of Lauren (born Lauren Mareen Hart) from St. Petersburg, Zoraida (born Zoraida Virginia Rosario) from Orlando (both of Latin descent) and finally, Marissa (born Marissa Rosalia Clark) from Florida. They released their debut album Suddenly under Big 3 Records. The release date was October 23, 2001. This included a notable re-working of the Shirelles' hit "Will You Love Me Tomorrow". Mpress released there debut single called "Maybe", and it charted at #9 on Billboard's Hot Singles Sales, and they later released the single "Time Out", but it failed to chart. They opened for pop acts such as Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. Since then, Mpress has disappeared from the industry. however, Marissa went on to pursue acting, appearing in the reality show “Outback Jack” and guest-starred in the series premiere of the FX Network series “Rescue Me.”

They are also notable for the fact that they are the first Latin girl group of the 2000s era.
