The Ministry of Labor and Promotion of Employment of Peru is the public institution responsible for the administration of Labor and Promotion of Employment, with developed capacities to lead the implementation of policies and programs to improve employment generation and contribute to the development of micro and small enterprises, promote social welfare, promote vocational training and to ensure compliance with legal standards and improving working conditions, in a context of dialogue and consultation between the social partners and the state. The current minister is Alfonso Grados Carraro.
