Mid-Prairie Community School District
The Mid-Prairie Community School District is a rural public school district in southeastern Iowa comprises three communities: Wellman, Kalona, and West Chester. There are elementary schools in Kalona, Wellman, and Washington Township, with a middle school in Kalona, and a high school in Wellman.
High school
Mid-Prairie High School is located 1 mile east of Wellman in Southeast Iowa approximately 18 miles south of Iowa City and 15 miles north of Washington. Mid-Prairie Middle School located in Kalona in Southeast Iowa approximately 18 miles south of Iowa City and 15 miles north of Washington. Wellman Elementary
Wellman Elementary is a K-5 elementary school located in Wellman, Iowa, about 18 miles southwest of Iowa City. The principal is Bill Poock.
