Mean residence time

The mean residence time (MRT) in pharmacokinetics is the average amount of time that a single molecule of drug stays in the body.[1] It is defined as the sum of all the residence times (the amount of time that an individual molecule of drug stays in the body) divided by the number of molecules.[1]
