Mandawar is a town and a nagar panchayat city in Bijnor district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is a green area near the holy river Ganges. Most people here are farmers. It is famous for rose and mangoes. There are lots of garden of mangoes here. It has some historical value also.

Demographics

As of 2011 India census,[1] Mandawar had a population of 21078 of which 11,119 are males while 9,959 are females. Mandawar has an average literacy rate of 61.22%, lower than the state average of 67.68%: male literacy is 65.62%, and female literacy is 56.38%. Population of Children with age of 0-6 is 3020 which is 14.33 % of total population of Mandawar (NP). In Mandawar Nagar Panchayat, Female Sex Ratio is of 896 against state average of 912. Educational institutions

St.Paul's High School, established in 1992 by the Education Society of the Catholic Diocese of Bijnor is a leading educational institution of the town. A Hindi medium high school, 1500 students from the town and the villages around Mandawar receive quality education there.

Mahatama Gandhi Inter College is the largest and oldest inter college in Mandawar. It was established around 1967. Most of the children of the villages around Mandawar are educated there.

Adarsh Vidya Niketan Shahabazpur was established around 1980. Located in Kelawala (the four way point where the roads to the villages Shahabazpur and Mohandiya meet), 1 km from Mandawar, it became an inter college about 2003 through the work of Surendra Vishnoi, who was the founding principal of this school. A number of students get their education there instead of walking 2 km to Mahatama Gandhi Inter College.

Shining Star Public High School was established in 1987. Modern Era Public School is located in Chandok Mandawar road. Prema Satyaveera Girls Inter College is available in Mandawar for girls only. Also, a degree college named Mandawar Degree College has opened in Mandawar Chandok road. There are many schools in Mandawar for primary education.
