Presentation

Academic program

An integrated curriculum has been designed to develop students with the unique ability to adapt to global engineering challenges and new technologies that would shape the future; and create professionals with the ability to master the complexity of multinational organizations. Mahindra École Centrale offers a 4-year integrated program in Engineering.[5]

The Mahindra École Centrale vision[6] is to train engineers, both men and women, to be entrepreneurial and innovative as well as technically trained, so that they are capable of meeting the greatest challenges of their era.

Mahindra École Centrale emphasizes the need for students to learn from a wider knowledge spectrum and acquire inter-disciplinary capabilities. The Institution is home to National and international faculty who work at the frontiers of academic inquiry and follow the developments of the real world in order to educate students to become experts in their disciplines. The emphasis on modern education[7] will help develop a large and talent-rich pool of technology professionals.

Curriculum

The students (intake of 232 for the first batch) are being educated in Engineering Sciences, Social Sciences, Creative Sciences, Business, Economics, Management, Arts and Humanities. The French language is also part of the curriculum.

MEC offers four streams to all aspiring engineers, namely:

The institution is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and JNTUH. The degree would be provided by JNTUH.

Teaching team

Faculty members are from various institutions in India and abroad, and are all PhDs. The faculty team imparts teaching based on the engineering curriculum suggested[8] by École Centrale Paris. The teaching is based on the educational model of Centrale Paris: strong scientific and technical education with a significant focus on overall development, corporate relations, cutting-edge research themes and learning innovation.
