MAIMT was founded in 1997, under Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra with the approval of AICTE. It is located in Jagadhri, an industrial hub near Chandigarh. It is being run by Maharaja Agrasen Sabha which runs another college named Maharaja Agrasen College.

Admissions

MCA

Admissions for MCA shall be made on the basis of the inter se merit of Online Entrance Test-OLET (MCA)-2014 through On-line Off- Campus counseling conducted by HSCS through NIC. Admission for MCA for Kashmiri Migrants (KM) category shall be made on the basis of inter-se merit of percentage of qualifying exam through On-line Off- Campus counseling. To be eligible for pursuing MCA from this institute one should be a pass in any recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years' duration in any discipline with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level. OR Should be a pass in any recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years' duration in any discipline with Mathematics / Statistics as one of the subjects. OR Should be a pass in BCA Degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized University.

MBA

The basis for admission to MBA course in Govt./ Govt. Aided/ University Department/Private colleges in the state of Haryana for the session 2014-15; will be the highest score obtained by a candidate in the valid MAT conducted by AIMA for session 2014-15. No separate State Entrance Test for Admission to MBA course will be conducted. The Management quota seats and the left over seats will be filled strictly on the basis of the merit of the qualifying examination. To be eligible for pursuing MBA from this institute one should be a Bachelor's or Post Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto by Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar, Hisar and Ch. Devi Lal University, Sirsa, as the case may be with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (minimum pass marks 45% in case or SC/ST candidates)

MAIMT gives the prestigious Maharaja Agrasen Scholarship to excellent performers.

In addition to this Government scholarship is awarded to SC, BC and OBC candidates pursuing MBA or MCA from this institute according to Govt. norms.

For overall personality of the students, MAIMT runs the following Cells and Clubs:

Student Counseling Cell (SCC)

SCC brings together the representatives of students & Institute. It Offers a platform to discuss all issue across the table and involves students for decision making and brain-storming.

Institute Industrial Interface Cell (IIIC)

IIIC helps in organizing and managing the Industrial Visits for students of MBA & MCA. The cell features guest speakers from various industries to discuss industry topics and trends. These meetings provide students opportunities to network with industry leaders and professionals.

Entrepreneurship Development Cell

Entrepreneurship Development Cell provides assistance to the new entrepreneurs for nourishing their entrepreneurial abilities. It also arranges various EDPs (Entrepreneurship Development Programmes) & MDPs (Management Development Programmes). It has conducted EDPs on different topics:

Finance Club

Finance Club is dedicated to increase awareness and interest in finance among the students. It runs a virtual stock exchange which deals with stock and algorithmic trading and other financial activities.

M3Club

M3 (MAIMT Marketing Masters) provides opportunities to MAIMTians to work on live projects. It also provides in-depth knowledge on diverse theoretical and conceptual issues of marketing. The main aim is to augment the classroom experience with practical hands on learning in real life, which is essential for those who see their future in marketing.

IT Club

IT Club runs ProgC programme which inculcates programming and software development skills among the students by providing them opportunities to work on live projects of various IT giants.

YEC Club

Young Executive Club (YEC) aims to groom tomorrow's professionals & inculcates holistic perspective of corporate world & society by creating an interactive platform between executives from industry and MAIMTians.

Sports Club

Sports & games form an integral part of education. Realizing the fact that a healthy mind dwells in a healthy body, the club organizes regular tournaments for Cricket, Table Tennis, Badminton and Volleyball. Keeping in view the today’s scenario, this club also runs Martial Arts classes for self-defense.

Music & Dance Club

IIC was constituted in year 2000 to provide the students industrial exposure. PDPs, distinguish MAIMT from other business schools, where the focus of such development programmes is on developing a Team-Culture and imbibing leadership qualities in our students. To develop a holistic personality of our students and to promote the integrated growth, we encourage the participation of our students in organizing different development activities.
