List of transit routes in Minneapolis-St. Paul

The Twin Cities have three rapid transit lines:

Blue Line (light rail): Mall of America-Minneapolis (Target Field Station)
Green Line (light rail): Minneapolis (Target Field Station)-St. Paul (Union Depot)
Red Line (bus rapid transit): Apple Valley-Mall of America
A Line (bus rapid transit): Rosedale-Minneapolis (46th Street Station)

In addition, the Northstar Commuter Rail connects Big Lake with Minneapolis (Target Field Station). There are six rapid transit lines in advanced planning or under construction, they are:

Green Line extension: Eden Prairie-Minneapolis (Target Field Station)
Blue Line extension: Brooklyn Park-Minneapolis (Target Field Station)
Orange Line (bus rapid transit): Burnsville-Minneapolis (5th Street Station)

Routes 100–199

Routes 100–199 are limited stop and express routes that run within Minneapolis and St. Paul during peak hours. Most are focused on connecting outlying neighborhoods in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Edina, St. Anthony, New Brighton and Columbia Heights to Downtown Minneapolis and the University of Minnesota. Routes 120–124 are free University of Minnesota shuttles.^[1]

Routes 200–299 are suburban buses that serve the suburbs east of Snelling Avenue and north of I-94. Most run during peak hours only, but local routes tend to offer midday and weekend service.
