Leonore Tiefer, PhD, is an American psychologist. At present she is working as associate professor of psychiatry at New York University School of Medicine.

Education and career

She received her Ph.D. degree at the University of California in 1969. Later on she respecialized in clinical psychology. Her principal interests include sex and gender problems.

Membership in scientific societies

Awards

She has been the recipient of numerous awards including Alfred Kinsey Award from the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (1994).
