Lemon Tree Hotels is a hotel chain company based in India. Incorporated in 2002, the company owns and operates 33 hotels with over 3500 rooms in 21 cities of India.[2][3][4][5][6][7]

Lemon Tree Hotels was founded by Patu Keswani in 2002. The first Lemon Tree Hotel opened in Gurgaon in June 2004.[8] It is in Udyog Vihar with 49 rooms.

The company operates under 3 brands: Lemon Tree Premier (upscale), Lemon Tree Hotels (midscale) & Red Fox Hotels (economy).[9]

In India, its hotels are located in major destinations such as Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Goa, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kerala, Noida, Pune and Vadodara.[10][11][12]

Lemon Tree Hotels plans to expand its portfolio to 8000 rooms by 2018.[13] Hotels are currently under development in Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Coimbatore, Dahej, Jammu, Manesar, Trichy, Shimla and Udaipur.[14][15]

Employees With Disabilities

Currently, 13% of group employees are from this segment of the population.[16] Lemon Tree has also developed a standard process to induct people with disabilities into its entire hotels pan India. Lemon Tree Hotels believes in being an equal opportunity employer and has been recognized on various platforms for its work towards employing differently abled.[17]

Pooch Policy

The Lemon Tree Hotel Company also adopts street dogs that are cared for by the Lemon Tree team. A supporter of the NGO PETA (People for Ethical Treatments of Animals), each of its hotels in India has an adopted dog mascot. It is the largest corporate adopter of stray dogs in India.[18]
