Brett McLaughlin, known professionally as Leland, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, composer and lecturer.[1] Based in Los Angeles, California, he has worked closely with a range of popular artists, including Troye Sivan, Daya, Capital Cities, Andy Grammer, Hilary Duff and Allie X.[2]

Influences and other ventures

McLaughlin was a professor at the Musicians Institute, where he taught songwriting and artist development.[3] In 2015 he joined the founding team of Global Image Music, a new music program offering real–time experience for aspiring songwriters and producers founded by British–American songwriter James 'JHart' Abrahart.[4]
