Laurent Landi is a French-American artistic gymnastics coach and retired gymnast. He currently coaches at World Olympic Gymnastics Academy.[1] He is the coach of world and Olympic champion Madison Kocian[2] and world champion Alyssa Baumann.[3]

Career

Landi was a member of the French national team in gymnastics. He trained at Olympic Antibes Juan-les-Pins Club in Antibes, France.[4] He was 12th all-around and won the bronze medal on high bar at the 1994 Junior European Championships.[5]

Coaching career

Following his competitive career, in 1999, Landi started coaching at his club in Antibes. Landi coached there until 2002 when he worked at the French National Gymnastics training center in Marseille, France. After, in 2004, he moved to Norman, Oklahoma with future wife, Cecile.[6] In Oklahoma, Landi was a coach at Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy.[4] Since 2007, he has worked at World Olympic Gymnastics Academy and has worked with Alyssa Baumann, Madison Kocian, Briley Casanova and Sophia Lee in the past.

Personal life

Landi lives in McKinney, Texas, with his wife, and daughter, Juliette.
