Labyrinthula is a genus of heterokont, comprising ten species.[1]

Labyrinthula zosterae is a species associated with eelgrass (Zostera marina), a pathogenic strain of which is believed to be the causative agent of a wasting disease which causes dieback and is threatening seagrass meadows.[2]
