Kristu Jayanti College is a private, autonomous[2] college in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The college was founded in 1999 and is managed by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), the first indigenous Syrian Catholic religious congregation in India. It was formed by the members of the St. Joseph's province of the CMI.[3] The college has around 3200 students with 26 programs and a full time faculty strength of 110.[4]
In the 2014 India Today-Nielsen Survey, Kristu Jayanti was ranked 1st among best emerging commerce colleges[5] in India, 4th best emerging science college[6] in India and 8th among top arts colleges in Bangalore.[7]
In the 2015 India Today-Nielson Survey, the college was ranked 16th among top commerce colleges in India,[8] was ranked 22nd among the best science colleges in India[9] and was also ranked 24th among top Arts colleges in India.[10] The college was also ranked 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively among the top commerce, science and arts colleges in Bangalore city.[11][12][13]
The college has international partnership[14] program with École de management de Normandie,[15] Fachhochschule Dortmund in Germany[16] and Appalachian State University in United States.[17]
History
Kristu Jayanti College, founded in 1999, is run by "BODHI NIKETAN TRUST", formed by the members of St. Joseph Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). The college is affiliated to Bangalore University. The college was accorded autonomous status from 2013 by the University Grants Commission, Government of Karnataka & the Bangalore University. The college was started at K. Narayanapura in Kothnur, Bangalore.The college began with 1 course, 9 students and 3 full time academic faculty in 1999.[18]

- Management: Offers 2 year MBA and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programs.
- Management: Offers 3 year BBA programme
- Commerce: Offers Undergraduate Programs like B.Com, B.Com(Tourism), B.Com with ACCA, B.Com Professional and Postgraduate Program M.Com and M.Com [FA]
- Computer Science: Offers Undergraduate Programs like BCA, B.Sc. in computer science, maths, statistics and electronics.
- Life Science: Offers Undergraduate and postgraduate Programs in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Genetics and Biochemistry.
- Humanities: Offers Undergraduate Programs in Literature, psychology, journalism, history, economics, tourism and political science.
- Social Work: Offers Post Graduate and Doctoral Programs in Social Work.
- Psychology: Offers Undergraduate Programs in psychology under triple main system and postgraduate program in general psychology.[19]
