Kodam XII/Tanjungpura, was an Indonesian Army military area command that oversees four provinces of Kalimantan Island. Kodam Tanjungpura also oversees Indonesian border regions with two Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak. Since June 2010, this territory was divided into two military area command. Kodam VI/Mulawarman oversees the provinces of East Kalimantan and South Kalimantan, while the new Kodam XII/Tanjungpura is for the provinces of West Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan responsible.
