During the 2013 IIHF World Championship Israel completed in the tournament for the twenty-second time. During the tournament, Israel competed in the Division II, Group B. Israel won the gold in Group B to advance to Group A for 2014.[1]

Israeli Avihu Sorotzky finished first among all goaltenders.[6] Sorotzky was also voted best goaltender as selected by the directorate.[7]
