Islamic Front Bangladesh (Bengali: ইসলামিক ফ্রন্ট বাংলাদেশ) is a Islamist political party in Bangladesh.[2]

History

Islamic Front Bangladesh is one of the prime Islamic Political Party of Bangladesh. In December 2006, the Islamic Front Bangladesh aligned itself with the Awami League-led 'Grand Alliance'.[3][4]

Sayed Bahadur Shah Mujaddedi is the president of the party and Abul Bashar Mohammad Zainul Abedin (Zubaer) its secretary.[1][5]

The goal of the party is the creation of a society based on Sunni philosophy. It considers that so called Islamist party in Bangladesh, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, is distorting Islam.[6]
