Insper

Insper (Institute of Education and Research) is a Brazilian higher education institution focusing on business, economics and engineering. It was started in São Paulo in 1987-88 (See Ibmec São Paulo). Indeed, Insper was first called Ibmec and started in Rio in mid 80s.

Initially Insper only offered an MBA degree in Finance but over time developed new programs such as an Executive MBA launched in 1998, and Graduate Programs in Law (LLM) with an emphasis on business in 1999. In 2002 Insper inaugurated its first undergraduate class.

The school previously occupied a rented 12-storey building in the São Paulo suburb of Paraíso and in 2006 opened a new campus in the São Paulo neighborhood of Vila Olímpia.

Insper is accredited by AACSB.[1]

Insper's Executive MBA programs (executive, in healthcare management, and in finance) are accredited by the London-based Association of MBAs (AMBA).[2]
