Indro Hardjodikoro (born December 14, 1968) is an Indonesian bass player member of jazz group Trisum. Previously, Hardjodikoro also member of Halmahera and simakDialog.

Career

Early life and career beginning

Indro Hardjodikoro was born on December 14, 1968, on Jakarta. Since childhood in 3rd primary school, Hardjodikoro spent more time to playing for music and in school his joining extracurricular activities of vocal group. Hardjodikoro had presume for join playing percussion, sometime join to singing and also played harmonica. In junior high school, Hardjodikoro began interested to playing guitar and learn for self-taught. Later in senior school, Hardjodikoro had interested for playing bass which inspiration by his oldest brother Manto. In addition, Hardjodikoro met Tohpati in an music talent show PMMC and invited by Tohpati to joining the band Halmahera. He had played regularly in Gita Remaja in TVRI. Until the time to met an saxophone player Maryono, he had further explore jazz in particular swing and began playing in jazz stages, such as Ireng Maulana, Embong Rahardjo, Dewa Budjana, Cendi Lutungan, and Oele Patiselano.

1995-2004: perform in national and international stage

In 1993, Hardjodikoro invited Erwin Gutawa in 5 American cities with Tohpati, Uce Hariono and Aminoto Koshin to accompany for Indonesian singer Ruth Sahanaya at invitation of Indonesian people who live there. After that, Gutawa often inviting him in several orchestra to playing bass, such as Chrisye’ concert.[1] Hardjodikoro often helping to recording musician and other, such as Koes Plus, Krisdayanti, Titi DJ, Vina Panduwinata, Andi Rianto, Dwiki Dharmawan, and many.

Hardjodikoro began playing jazz in Jak Jazz with his brother and in 1997 Hardjodikoro had reach opportunity for accompany Eric Merienthal and Warren Wiebe for his tour in Indonesia.

In 2004, Hardjodikoro appointed orchestra Erwin Gutawa for playing instrumental single “Kolam Susu” to his work album Salute to Koes Plus/Bersaudara.

2010-2011: Feel’s Free

His debut studio album Feel’s Free had released by Demajors Independent Music Industry on 2010 and its had supported by Tohpati, Oele Pattiselano, and other.[2] Previously, Hardjodikoro had ever working with Tohpati for his two studio albums Tohpati Ethnomission (2010) and Tohpati Bertiga (2011) which to Hardjodikoro playing bass.

Hardjodikoro had winning first award Best Instrumental Solo Artist in 2013 Anugerah Musik Indonesia.

2014-present: Cerita Baru

After four years later not released, Hardjodikoro return launching second album Cerita Baru on June 6 and its an journey of his career as a professional musician. Its album making Hardjodikoro earning Best Jazz Instrumental Performers in Anugerah Musik Indonesia in 2015.
