Hurley Medical Center is a teaching hospital serving Genesee, Lapeer, and Shiawassee counties in eastern Michigan since December 19, 1908. Situated in Flint, Michigan, it is a 443-bed public non-profit hospital.^[1]

The emergency department is an ACS verified Level I Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.^[2] Hurley also has region’s only Burn Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and Pediatric Emergency Department.

Medical Residency

Hurley sponsors medical residency/fellowship programs in Internal Medicine, Transitional Year, Pediatrics, Combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Diagnostic Radiology, Geriatric Medicine, Medical Psychology & Trauma Surgery in affiliation with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.

Residents/Fellows of University of Michigan Ann Arbor's Emergency Medicine, Pediatric Dentistry & Pediatric Emergency Medicine programs also rotate at Hurley Medical Center.
