Honors College

An honors college, or in a more limited form, honors program, is an educational experience for high-achieving students that is set apart from the majority of the educational institution's coursework.

Compared to the broader university community, honors colleges often have smaller classes, of students with high standardized test scores or grades. Honors programs are smaller and less formal than honors colleges, and may not include additional resources (such as residences or academic buildings) afforded to honors colleges.[1]
