Ranking

HZ University of Applied Sciences has ranked in the top three multidisciplinary universities of applied sciences for five years in a row: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and again in 2015 we are considered the third best institute for higher professional education in the Netherlands. Eight of our degree programmes are in first place and 14 Bachelor’s programmes are listed in the top 3 of our country.

Keuzegids rankings The Keuzegids is the only independent guide, published yearly by the Centrum Hoger Onderwijs Informatie (Higher Education Information Centre). One of the five published reports, ‘HBO full-time studies’ (HBO Voltijd), critically assesses and compares the quality of study programmes of higher professional universities in the Netherlands. Results take into account the perspectives of both students and the universities themselves. Rankings are generally based on data about the programme’s success rates, expert opinions from the accreditation of programmes, and student opinions taken from the results of the NSE.

Since 2011 HZ has constantly been in the top three of Dutch universities of applied sciences, with generally some 8 of its Bachelor’s programmes on No 1 and some 15 to 18 of its 23 Bachelor’s programmes in the top 3. Also all our English language programmes get the highest scores, namely International Business Management Studies, International Business & Languages, Logistics Management, Chemistry, Water Management, Civil Engineering, International Maintenance Management, Delta Management and Vitality & Tourism Management.
