Greg Brown (businessman)
Greg Brown graduated from Rutgers University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Economics in 1982.
Greg Brown is chairman and chief executive officer of Motorola Solutions, Inc. He joined Motorola in January 2003. In March 2007, Brown became president and COO and was elected to the company's board of directors. He then became CEO of Motorola in January 2008.
Prior to joining Motorola, he was chairman and CEO of Micromuse Inc. from 1999 to 2003.
Brown serves as chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, is chair of Rutgers University board of governors, chair of Skills for Chicagoland’s Future and chairs the committee on Immigration reform of the Business Roundtable where he is a member of the executive committee.
Brown was honored with the Daniel H. Burnham award in 2013 for Distinguished Leadership, and received the Chicago Leadership Award in 2014 from the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. He serves as a board member of the Economic Club of Chicago, the Chicago Council on Global Affairsand the Chicago Club.
