History
Charlotte Sidway Elementary was the first school constructed under the new centralized Grand Island District. It opened in 1937 and operated until closing in the 1983. During that time, the building was leased out to multiple businesses in the community.[1] It reopened in 1993 to serve grades PreK-1.
