History

The Golden Nugget Laughlin was previously known as the Nevada Club.[7] In 1986 the resort underwent a major renovation. It was acquired by Mirage Resorts in 1989.[8] In 2004, it was acquired by Poster Financial Group, Inc.[9] It was acquired by Landry’s, Inc. on May 31, 2005, which was purchasing Golden Nugget Las Vegas at the same time.[10] Rooms underwent renovation in 2006.[11]

In the years since Landry’s, Inc. acquired Golden Nugget Las Vegas and Laughlin, three additional locations have been developed in Atlantic City, New Jersey; Biloxi, Mississippi; and Lake Charles, Louisiana.
