The Gobindapur Sephali Memorial Polytechnic (GSMP) is a private diploma engineering institution established by the Gobindapur Sephali Samaj Seba Samity in 2010.

About Us

GSMP Profile

The Polytechnic Education system was highlighted for strengthening the production of competent technical professional to the need of emerging Industries and technologies. To develop the Polytechnic Education system to the desired level, Govt. of India drew a project Supported by the World Bank in October 1999. In the promotional activities of technical education, new polytechnics were set up, new courses were introduced, and curricula were updated and revised with a modified approach to up-gradation and modernization of polytechnics.

All India Council of Technical Education grants recognition to the Institutes and West Bengal State Council of Technical Education conducts the different exams; supervise the courses being the Affiliating Body. After successful completion of 3 years full-time Diploma Course in different branches of Engineering, the students achieve the ability to make themselves competent for various technical jobs in govt., private-public sector organizations and become advanced for higher education also.

The Institute campus has been set up at Gobindapur, P.O.: Keleti, Dist. - Burdwan beside Suri Road (Burdwan/ Guskara to Bolpur- Santiniketan Road) in a beautiful and pollution free environment with a well structured building having all the facilities. The well equipped library, laboratories, workshops and the hostels have made it an ideal campus. It is only 5 km. from Guskara and 18 km. from Bolpur (Shantiniketan) and well communicated by Bus route and Railway. Our sole aim is the improvement of our students and we have tried our level based to recruit experienced faculty members and staff.[1]

Admission

JEXPO :jexpo Intake Capacity : 50% of intake capacity of each indivisual discipline . Eligibility : Passed in MP Level Exam and Qualified in JEXPO Exam organized by WEBSCTE. Time : After counseling organized by WBSCTE.

DIRECT ADMISSION :

Intake Capacity : 50% of intake capacity of each indivisual discipline . Eligibility : Passed in Secondary Level Exam and Qualified in JEXPO Exam organized by WEBSCTE. Age Limit : No Age Limit.

LATERAL ENTRY :

Intake Capacity : 20% of intake capacity. Eligibility : 10+2 vocationalcourse trainees can take admission through VOCLET exam. after counseling directly in the 2nd year of Diploma Engineering. Time : After counseling organized by WBSCTE.[2]

Admission Eligibility

1. Admission through JEXPO / VOCLET

2. 50% of total seat capacity in each discipline will be admitted from JEXPO qualified student and having allotment letter after counseling organized by WBSCTE.

3. Direct admission of remaining 50% of total seat capacity will be admitted from students qualified in madhyamik or equivalent with minimum 35% marks.

4. Additional 20% seats will be admitted through VOCLET with allotment letter after counseling organized by WBSCTE .

Age Limit: No upper age limit, but candidates' date of birth should not be after 01/07/2000 (For 1st year candidates).[3]
