Getaroom.com is a Dallas, Texas-based online hotel reservation site[1] that allows customers to view sales and promotional rates[2] on hotel rooms, read hotel reviews and view photos for over 100,000 hotel properties.

History

Getaroom.com was founded in 2009 by travel industry executives Robert B. Diener[3] and David Litman. In 1991 Diener and Litman founded the Hotel Reservations Network, now known as Hotels.com.[4] Litman served as CEO and Diener as president until the end of 2003.

Diener is a travel industry source for many news outlets,[5] including The Wall Street Journal,[6] USA Today[7] and The New York Times. Both Diener and Litman attended Cornell University Law School[8] and are regular lecturers at the Cornell Law School and Cornell Entrepreneurship program.

Technology

Getaroom's technology is currently used to provide end-to-end hotel booking solutions, including outsourcing services for call center,[9] processing and customer service.
