Geoff Pearson

Geoffrey Seagrave "Geoff" Pearson^[4][5] (born 18 July 1951) is the current Bishop of Lancaster in the Church of England.^[3]

He was educated at St John's College, Durham.^[1] Ordained in 1974^[6] his career began with a curacy at Kirkheaton after which he was the incumbent at the Church of the Redeemer, Blackburn^[1] and finally (before his appointment to the episcopate) the Vicar of Roby. Pearson was consecrated a bishop on 2 November 2006^[2] and installed as Bishop of Lancaster on

A keen hillwalker,^[7] Pearson is married to Jean with three adult children.^[3] He has dedicated much of his ministry to the prioritisation of gospel work amongst children and young people.
